Mentors gain even greater confidence, knowledge
and leadership skills by assisting New Members to excel.
- After consultation, new Members are assigned a Mentor.
- Your Mentor is responsible for introducing you to the Toastmaster Education Program – Pathways.
- Your Mentor is responsible for guiding you through your first few Speeches.
- Your Mentor is responsible for providing independent Evaluation of your Speeches and Meeting Leadership Roles.
- Your Mentor is responsible for helping you to understand and become familiar with the Meeting procedures; including the Meeting Leadership Roles.
- Your Mentor is responsible for encouraging you to undertake Meeting Leadership Roles as you feel comfortable.
- Your Mentor should meet with you (or communicate with you) outside of Club Meetings in order to guide and explain Club procedures.
- Your Mentor is responsible for explaining the wider Toastmaster structure of Areas, Divisions, Districts and the broader Toastmaster organisation.
- Your Mentor is responsible for encouraging you to either participate in Contests or assist with managing Contests at different levels.
- Your Mentor is responsible for encouraging you to strive for excellence and have FUN
